This award recognises organisations whose compensation and Total Rewards strategies (encompassing salary, benefits, recognition, and well-being) are deliberately aligned with Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) objectives and decent work principles, actively addressing inequality, protecting at-risk groups, and creating e real improvements in employees' lives, particularly for those in more vulnerable situations (e.g. caregivers, people with disabilities, low-income earners, or employees in precarious roles).

Evaluation Criteria

  • Social impact of compensation strategy - Evaluates the extent to which the organisation's compensation and benefits strategy is intentionally designed to generate positive social impact, particularly for employees in vulnerable or underrepresented situations.
  • Inclusion and accessibility of benefits - Assesses whether benefits and compensation are genuinely accessible to all employee profiles, including those in non-standard contracts, lower income brackets, or with caregiving responsibilities.
  • Financial protection and security - Evaluates the range and quality of initiatives that go beyond legal minimums to protect employees' financial wellbeing and social security.
  • Evidence of measurable social outcomes - Assesses the quality and credibility of evidence demonstrating real improvements in employees' lives as a result of the compensation strategy.
  • Alignment with decent work principles - Evaluates how consciously the organisation aligns its compensation practices with SDG 8-inspired principles: fair wages, safe conditions, social protection, and equitable opportunity.
